Karrina's Place: January 2011

Here is my story called Wake up, Wake up, Wake up! I have written more story's in the past, but this is my favourite so far!

Isabelle lay half awake in her bed, staring at the ceiling trying to remember what day it was. It was something special, it wasn't her birthday was it? No it couldn't be, was it some sort of party? It couldn't be that either. What could it be? Just then her alarm went off. That's funny, my alarm only goes off during the terms, and its school holiday isn't it? She asked herself. Oh! Duh! Its the first day back to school! I'm gonna be late! She thought as she jumped out of bed and rushed to her closet. She got dressed in a plaid dress and shut her closet door. Only when something caught her eye. Of course! Her school uniform! She changed again then went down stairs to breakfast. Her little sister Ivy kept giggling at her. “Um, I don't think you want to wear that to school like that.” Her Mum said. She looked down to find that she had her school top on backwards, and instead of her school shorts bright pink sweat pants that said “Snow Girl” on it, and she only had her socks on. Never get dressed half asleep again! She yelled to herself in her head. She sighed and took another bite of her food. Ivy busted out laughing, Isabelle looked down again to find she was trying to eat her yogurt with her butter knife, and was pouring tomato sauce in her milk. Isabelle ran up stairs without finishing her food to get ready. “The bus is here!” Mum called. Isabelle ran outside forgetting about fixing her clothes and brushing her hair. Ivy got on first, she looked neat, as normal, then Isabelle got on and the whole bus busted out laughing. She remembered her clothes and hair and tried to keep walking forward. “Look at that girl with the messy hair!” A girl called. Isabelle sat down at the very back. The bus doors closed, there was no running away now.

The bus pulled up in front of school and everyone got out. There was a roll call, when the teacher called Isabelle's name she called out “Here!” The teacher was not happy with the way Isabelle looked. She explained what happened. The teacher told her it was not acceptable and sent her to the office. She walked in and the Headmaster looked at her in shock. Again, Isabelle explained what happened. “You will have to wear the spare uniform shorts and shoes.” The headmaster sighed. The headmaster handed her the uniform. She walked to the toilets to change. She turned her top around and put the shorts and shoes on. The shorts were so big, they looked like pants, and the shoes were also to big, and looked like clown shoes. She sighed and put her “Snow Girl” pants in her bag. She went back to the office, the headmaster wasn't happy with her uniform but said it would have to work. Isabelle went to her classes.

At the end of the day she put her pants back on and gave the shorts and shoes back to the headmaster. On her way back to the bus she looked at her report card. She got a B+. Not to bad! She thought to herself. She hoped on the bus and went home. She fell asleep on the way home and missed her house. She woke up when the bus was at its last stop on the other side of town. “Oh No!” She cried. “Whats the matter?” The bus driver asked as the last person got off. “This isn't my stop! I missed my stop!” She cried. “Why didn't you get off? I was wondering why you didn't get off with Ivy!” The bus driver said. “I'm so tired!” She yawned.

“BEEP BEEP BEEP!” Her alarm clock went off. “Oh good its just a dream!” She said to her self. She got up and got dressed in her school uniform and got ready for school. She had a normal day, nothing like her dream!
